Beaches

Arashi Beach

Easy all-rounder at the northwest tip: shallow sandy water, palapas, a snack shack and a big car park. A good first snorkel. Busiest on Sundays, so arrive early.

Boca Catalina

Small, quiet cove reached by steps, with fish close to shore. Almost no facilities, so bring water and snacks. Mornings are calmer.

Malmok Beach

Many small coves and lots of fish, but a narrow rocky shore with sharp rocks and sea urchins. Water shoes help. Often windy.

Hadicurari (Fisherman's Huts)

The north end of Palm Beach. Kite and windsurf schools work from this beach, and the shallow water is also used by local families. The Hi-Winds windsurf tournament is held here in June or July.

Palm Beach

Aruba's high-rise hotel strip: long swims, restaurants and bars along the sidewalk and plenty of water sports. Busier and louder than the rest of the island.

Eagle Beach

Wide beach by low-rise hotels with free palapas, a bar and rentals. A sea turtle nesting beach, so respect the marked areas. Parking can fill up in high season.

Manchebo Beach

Wide, soft white sand right after Eagle Beach, usually less busy. Waves and currents can be strong, so take care when swimming.

Surfside Beach

Just south of Oranjestad and about a 15-minute walk from the cruise terminal. Calm and popular with locals.

Mangel Halto

Calm, shallow water in the south, a weekend picnic spot for local families. Entry is over rocks that can be sharp, and currents are possible. Weaker swimmers should be careful.

Rodgers Beach

Right next to Baby Beach, with calm, protected water, a narrow strip of soft sand, palapas and sea-grape shade, showers and a small bar and grill. The refinery is visible in the distance.

Baby Beach

A sheltered lagoon with water between knee and waist deep, ideal for young children. Beach bar, snorkel rental, toilets and free parking. Busy with local families at weekends. Kamini's Kitchen is in nearby San Nicolas.

Boca Grandi

Wild windward coast a few minutes north of Baby Beach: rough water and strong currents, so swimming is advised against. Kite and windsurfers come here. Little shade. Turtles nest here.

Dos Playa

Rough east-coast beach with very strong waves: look, don't swim. A turtle nesting beach.

Safety: conditions change daily. Follow flags and signs, never swim where the sea is rough, and check the live weather on our home page. Distances are straight-line.
